We had been to Helena a few other times and honestly had been underwhelmed by the hotels that we stayed at. This hotel stood out from the others for several reasons. First, the location was excellent. We were right by Carroll College, and could walk to the carousel, brewpub, and other downtown shopping and restaurants. Additionally, the hotel had a classic feel. We loved the Great Northern Railroad theme. Breakfast was great and there were even cookies offered in the evening. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt welcome right away.

Excellent location, great layout and nice comfortable room. We stayed in a pet room that was perfect. We had an exterior door leading to a small fenced courtyard that easily accessed places to take the dog. Loved not having to wander through the hotel with her Everytime. We only stayed one night but this room would be perfect for extended trips with pets.

Staff were attentive and professional, eager to meet every need. Onsite restaurant was excellent in quality and service. Location in the heart of Helena is ideal for seeing the sights. Plenty of no cost parking. Room was clean, neat and spacious. Delicious breakfast included. Good swimming indoor swimming pool for exercise.
